US Korean War M-1951 M51 Fishtail Parka Shell W/ Liner & Fur Hood NICE! Med J254

J254 - For sale here is an amazing US Korean War M-1951 Fishtail Parka with liner and additional fur lined hood. The jacket appears to be, or at least the liner is, marked size medium, but this wears more like a size extra large. The jacket is complete with all buttons, drawstrings, and functional Conmar zipper. The jacket is marked inside of the hood. A portion of these markings are faded and illegible but you can clearly see that it is a parka, shell, M-1951. This jacket came right out of a Korean War veteran estate. The actual maker and date can't be seen by me. The jacket shows wear, soiling, and some lose strings, but there are no rips, holes, or tears. This would clean up nicely; the liner is in comparable condition with a few spots of mud and some soiling to the faux fur. The liner is marked size medium parka, liner, M-1951. There is no date that I can see. This is a very warm but light for its size parka that will wear very well. The fur lined hood appears to be coyote fur and it is doing quite a bit of shedding. It is complete with all buttons and drawstrings. The elastic band on the hood and in the cuffs are losing elasticity. If you want yourself a nice, early 50s Fishtail, this one will be hard to beat!
