This vintage Technics SL-10 linear tracking turntable is functional and in excellent cosmetic condition, with only a few of the most minor of blemishes here and there (however, please take advantage of the zoom feature on the photos to judge cosmetics for yourself). A couple years ago it had been serviced with a new tone arm belt and modern lube on the tone arm rails. Both lid latches are functional and in perfect condition. It comes with a used Grado Moving Magnet cartridge. I don't know how many hours are on the cart, but it sounds great. It comes with all of the original packing materials, boxes (both inner and outer), manual, brochure, LP light blocker (but, not the 45 light blocker), plastic shipping platter lockers (with original screws), plastic piece that secures the tone arm, and one screwdriver. There is an issue with the Moving Coil setting. When in the Moving Coil setting, there is some background hum, and for whatever reason a thump when moving the tone arm. I believe this is due to a cap that is starting to go bad in the Moving Coil tonearm path. That said, I've always used it in the Moving Magnet setting in conjunction with either the Grado or an Ortofon cartridge for which these issues are not present. One could still use a Moving Coil cart, but would not be able to take advantage of the internal Moving Coil circuitry and would have to rely on their pre-amp's or receiver's functionality. NOTE: this is a dual voltage unit; so, it should be useable overseas. That said, I've only used it in the 110 volt North American setting.
