PHILLIPS AF 977 TURNTABLE w/ Shure OMNI 25 CARTRIDGE - Excellent Condition

This Phillips turntable was manufactured in the late 1970's and retailed for around 0 . These don't show up on Ebay too often so it is kind of a rare find. It was Phillip's top of the line turntables. The one I have for sale plays beautifully and sounds wonderful. However there is an issue with the auto return shutoff.....it goes right back to play. It has been serviced but the technician has been unable to figure out why it won't just after one play shut off. Of course you can manually bring the tone arm back to it's resting position and then shut it off .Cosmetics are excellent and the dust cover shows swirls but is not damaged . The cartridge is a Shure Omni 25 which after playing a few albums sounds amazing. It was one of Shure's high end cartridges back in the days. I see someone on Ebay is selling one mounted on a Technics headshell for 9.
