    Description

    Korea Era Original US Navy Mark 2 Knife w/Leather Scabbard - Marked: US Utica Cut. Co. - NICE Condition
    Up for sale is a Korea Era Original US Navy Mark 2 Fighting Knife w/Leather Scabbard.  The knife has a Stacked Leather Washer handle with a Blued Blade
    .  This item is used, see photo's for condition.  No nicks or chips in the blade.  A spot of surface pitting on the blade.  The blade has evidence of sharpening.  The knife is Blade Marked: US Utica Cut. Co. The leather handle is in Very Nice Condition.  The leather has darkened with age.  No cracks or breaks in the leather, just normal handling marks.  The guard has a wiggle.  The pommel is tight.  This knife has the rectangular tang wih a pinned thin butt.  The Leather Scabbard is a commercial replacement.  The leather is soft and supple, no cracks or cuts in the leather.  There are no markings on the scabbard.  The seams are all intact, no fraying.   Still has the rich russet brown color with a basket weave pattern.
    This is an Very Nice Example of a WWII USN Mark 2 Fighting Knife.
    If you see M.H. Coles Book's "Best of US Military Knives, Bayonets & Machetes" page 118, #14.
    This would make a great accessory to add to your WWII collection.
